In view of the ongoing construction work at the National Bank Stadium Karachi as part of preparations for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, the Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a difficult decision to hold the second test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

PCB says that this test match which will be played from August 30 to September 3 will be played without spectators.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said that they understand the important role that our enthusiastic spectators play in cricket, and the health and safety of our fans is our first priority.

“After considering all available options, we have decided that the safest option is to conduct the second Test in an empty stadium,” the PCB said.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said that due to this decision, ticket sales have been suspended with immediate effect, and fans who have already purchased tickets will be refunded the amount credited to the account details provided at the time of the purchase in full.

The cricket board also said that while we regret any inconvenience this may cause, we would like to assure our valued fans that the ongoing renovations at the stadium will make it more spectator-friendly and prepare for the C Champions Trophy for 2025 it is part of our commitment.
