The Principal Secretary’s letter to the President dismissed the allegations as baseless
Islamabad: Principal Secretary Waqar Ahmed has written a letter to the President in which he has dismissed all the allegations leveled against him as baseless.
According to ARY News, Principal Secretary Waqar Ahmed wrote in the letter that the statement gave an impression that the Principal Secretary is responsible for the irregularities regarding the bills, requesting the President to conduct an inquiry from the FIA.
According to the text of the letter, you are aware of the facts regarding both the bills, an inquiry should be made so that the person responsible can be determined.
Waqar Ahmed wrote in the letter that I have no role in delaying the bills or ignoring the President’s orders, I am ready to give an affidavit on my position.
He said that the orders to transfer my services to the Establishment Division should be withdrawn. The President has not issued any written decision on the Army Act, Official Secrets Act.
The Principal Secretary said that the President did not endorse the two bills nor gave a written order to send them back.
It should be noted that earlier President Arif Alvi had recommended the removal of Principal Secretary Waqar Ahmad and said that Humira Ahmed should be appointed as Principal Secretary.
It should be remembered that yesterday, while denying the signing of the official secret and army act amendment bills by the President, he wrote in a tweet that he did not agree with the laws. Went against my will and order, I apologize to those who will be affected by it.
