ISLAMABAD: The PDM government, which had made fun of Imran Khan, has started following in his footsteps. The Shahbaz government has started consultations to buy oil from Russia.
According to an ARY News report, the government has started consultations for the purchase of oil from Russia. In this regard, the Petroleum Division has written a letter to the heads of four major refineries for consultations.
The Petroleum Division has written a letter to Pak-Arab, National Refinery, PRL and Baiko. How much can you take?
The letter asked what would be the cost of importing Russian crude oil compared to crude oil purchased from the Middle East and how to pay for crude oil purchased from Russia.
The Petroleum Division has asked in the letter what agreements have been reached by the Gulf countries for the upliftment of refineries.
Sources said that the Petroleum Division officials will meet the representatives of the refineries today to discuss the quality of refining of crude oil purchased from Russia.
Sources said that the Shahbaz government has held background meetings to buy oil from Russia.
It may be recalled that Imran Khan had repeatedly said that he was going to buy 30% cheaper oil and wheat from Russia but after his visit to Russia, our government was overthrown through conspiracy.
