The Duma of the Russian Parliament has urged the UN Security Council to prevent the Ukrainian military from attacking the nuclear power plant in the Kursk region of Russia.
At the same time, the Russian parliament warned that if Ukraine takes action, Russia will be forced to take not only tough military countermeasures, but also military tactics.
On the other hand, the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said that Ukraine began to prepare an attack on the Kursk nuclear power plant.
He said that the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency should condemn this provocation and stop the violation of nuclear safety issues.
The spokesman warned that Kiev’s move would lead to widespread destruction in Europe.
Russian officials have said that the Ukrainian military wants to destroy not only the Kursk nuclear power plant, but also the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, for which it brought warheads containing radioactive material to the area.
A report by a local journalist claims that the Ukrainian military will use dirty bombs on nuclear fuel storage stations for this purpose.
