Theft | Thieves broke into 2 houses, made off with goods worth Rs 5.84 lakh

Nagpur. Thieves broke into two houses in Lakadganj and Mankapur police station area. Goods worth Rs 5.84 lakh including cash and jewelery cleared. Lakadganj police registered a case on the complaint of Yogesh Devidas Wadhwani (42), resident of Satnami Nagar, Ambedkar Chowk. Yogesh had gone to Mathur Vrindavan on April 27 to hang out with his family.

Meanwhile, the unknown accused entered inside by breaking the lock of the house. By breaking the locker of the bedroom cupboard, Rs 35,000 in cash and gold and silver jewelery including Rs 3.77 lakh were stolen. On returning home, the Wadhwani family came to know about the theft. The second incident of burglary happened in Mankapur police station area. The police registered a case on the complaint of Darshan Anand Chhajed (35), a resident of Ratan Nagar.

On April 30, the Chhajed family went to participate in a program organized in Amravati after locking the house. Meanwhile, the thieves broke into the bedroom and stole Rs 80,000 in cash, tab, laptop, camera and gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 2.07 lakh from the bedroom. The theft came to light when the Chhajed family returned home on Monday. Police have registered a case against the unknown accused in both the incidents.
