Three terrorists killed in Balochistan’s Awaran: ISPR – Pakistan

The army’s media wing said on Saturday that security forces killed three terrorists during an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the south of Awaran district of Balochistan.
The army’s media wing said an IBO was launched from March 15 to intercept a terrorist group operating south of Awaran, which was linked to incidents of firing and improvised explosive devices in Turbat Awaran Road and surrounding areas.
“Based on reliable information, several ambushes were carried out on various routes in the area frequented by terrorists since last three days,” the press release said.
It said that “as a result, a party of three terrorists was intercepted while proceeding towards their hideout.”
“On being stopped, they opened fire on the security forces. During the heavy exchange of fire, all three terrorists were killed, while a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered,” the ISPR said.
The statement said the army was “committed to thwarting attempts to harm the peace, stability and progress of Balochistan”.
