MUMBAI: It is painful to see children undergoing treatment for cancer at an age when they are playing, playing and studying. It is impossible to predict what will be the mental state of the children and their parents during the treatment. It is sad that children are not getting their childhood, said Governor Ramesh Bais on Saturday.
Tata Memorial Centre-Impact Foundation and Krish Foundation organized a visit to Raj Bhavan for 50 cancer-stricken children, who are undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, along with their parents.
Governor Ramesh Bais spent time with these children and welcomed them. The governor said on the occasion that if given proper and timely treatment, children can completely overcome cancer and lead a good life.
Distribution of gifts to children
The Governor distributed gifts to the children and wished them a bright future.
Governor announced assistance of Rs.5 lakh to Impact Foundation and Krish Foundation of Tata Memorial Centre.
