Tribute to Sidhu Musewala, this bill will be presented in the assembly .. will get approval in the cabinet

CHANDIGARH: Tributes were paid to the departed souls during the commencement of the first day of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha session. Tributes were also paid to the late Congress leader and Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Musewala. The House also paid tributes to former ministers Hardeepinder Singh Badal and Akali leader Tota Singh in its tribute ceremonies. Among those who paid tributes were Arjun Awardees Gurcharan Singh Bhangu and Hari Chand. The House remembered the freedom fighters including Tara Singh, Swaran Singh, Karora Singh and Sukhraj Singh Sandhanwalia. Tributes were also paid to former MLAs including Sukhdev Singh Sukhladhi and Shingara Ram Sahungara.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jackson Rori urged the Speaker to include the name of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Vice President Surinder Singh in the tribute function. Congress member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal suggested that tributes should also be paid to the farmers who committed suicide. The House observed a two-minute silence on the occasion.

Thereafter, the proceedings of the Assembly were adjourned till 2 p.m. Question Hour will be held at 2 pm in the budget session of the Assembly. Discussions will begin on the Governor’s speech.

Let it be known that a special meeting of the Cabinet will be held today between the sessions. Bills introduced in the Assembly will be approved. A bill related to retention of 36,000 employees and pension of MLAs will also be introduced in the session.

Full chances of the session being tumultuous. Opposing the government’s move to surround the law and order issue. The Congress is preparing to bring a stop work resolution. There will also be a Cabinet meeting between 12:30 p.m. In which the bills which are to be introduced in this session will be approved.
