Two arrested for torturing youth in Karachi

Karachi: Police on Saturday arrested two suspects involved in torturing a youth after the video of the incident went viral on social media.

Police said they have arrested two suspects who had brutally tortured a youth on August 17, accusing him of being a thief.

The incident was reported on Friday after gruesome videos of harassment were shared on social media platforms.

According to the details, locals of Shah Latif Town in Malir area of ​​Karachi set up their own court after being accused of robbery and tortured a man named Gulzar. The man was tied to a tree trunk and brutally tortured.

Police officials have said that the local people do not inform the police about the case and the suspect is being treated at a local hospital. The man can be seen being dragged into the area and pushed underwater as well as by armed men.

The man was accused of stealing some steel rods. The incident happened three days ago.
