According to the company’s FIR, the accused employee was responsible for transferring money to the bank accounts of cab drivers belonging to the company. Meanwhile, he cleverly tampered with the company’s servers and added fake driver numbers. The number of fake cab drivers was 388.
The company has alleged that the employee started sending money to these fake drivers after this. Gradually this charge sent these drivers Rs 1.17 crore. Complained on September 2022.

In this complaint, the company linked a single phone number to 545 out of 388 fake drivers. But, except for a few names, their names were different. The money sent to these 388 drivers was deposited in only 18 bank accounts. That is, many drivers were linked to one bank account.
According to the Gurugram police, the accused employee withdrew the money smartly, so the company could not catch his scam.
According to Uber’s FIR, the accused resigned from the company in December 2021 after several days of alleged fraud. The scandal came to light months after the employee left the company. This came to the attention of the authorities. At present, the Gurugram police have started an investigation into the matter.
