UP ATS arrests JeM terrorist tasked to kill Nupur Sharma, linked to Pak Taliban

Lucknow: A Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist responsible for killing suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police. The Anti-Terrorism Squad of Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested a terrorist associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Saharanpur. Informed the Anti-Terrorism Squad of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. The arrested terrorist has been identified as Muhammad Nadeem (25), a resident of Kunda Kala village in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Nadeem is a resident of Saharanpur

Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) and Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) were in direct contact with terrorist Muhammad Nadeem. Terrorist conspiracy was busted under the leadership of ADG ATS Naveen Arora. In fact, UP ATS had received information that a person influenced by the ideology of Jaish-e-Mohammed and TTP is preparing for a fidayeen attack in Saharanpur.

After this Muhammad Nadeem was identified and questioned. During the preliminary investigation, a mobile phone was recovered from him. In which a PDF document named Explosive Course FIDE Force was found. Apart from this, the police have also got a phone chat of Mohammad Nadeem, which includes voice messages with Jaish-e-Muhammad and TTP terrorists from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Preparing for ‘fidayeen’ attack

During interrogation, Nadeem told that he is in touch with many terrorists of Jaish-e-Muhammad and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan since 2018 through WhatsApp, Telegram, IMO, Facebook Messenger, Clubhouse etc. He has received training from terrorist organizations to create virtual phone numbers. A Pakistani named Saifullah was training him to carry out ‘fidayeen’ attacks on government buildings or police forces.

Nadeem was asked to go to Pakistan for special training. According to the information, the terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed has also told the names of his fellow terrorists to the police. A mobile phone with two SIM cards has been recovered from him. A case has been registered against him under section 121A/123 of IPC.
