Varun-Samantha meet President Murmu – The Kashmir Monitor
Varun Dhawan and Samantha met President Draupadi Murmu in Serbia.
Sharing pictures of the meeting, Varun posted on Instagram, ‘Team Citadel India had the privilege of meeting the Honorable President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji in Serbia. What a pleasure and an honor to meet you madam @presidentofindia.
Varun and Samantha are shooting for their espionage thriller web series Garh with producer Praveen Karnar, directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and writer Seetha Menon.
This is the first such visit of President Murmu to Serbia by an Indian Head of State. In a special gesture, he was received by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade and given a guard of honour.
From the airport, the President went to Gandhijiwa Gali, where he paid respects at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. He interacted with the Indian diaspora and friends of India at a community reception in Belgrade hosted by Ambassador Sanjiv Kohli.
