Nandi Kaman, which welcomes devotees to the temple of Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy in Vemulawada, popularly known as Dakshina Kashi and a famous Shaivite Kshetra, has entered into 50 years today. Before 1971 there was no transport facility for the devotees to reach the temple of Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy. At that time only vehicles were running from Karimnagar to Sirisil. Devotees and people of Vemulawada town also used to get down from vehicles at Nampally and reach the shrine of Vemulawada King on foot. But for the convenience of Rajanna devotees, the then chairman of Rajanna temple Venkateswara Rao not only built a welcome arch at Nandi Kaman but also built a road up to Tippapur with the funds of Rajanna temple at a cost of about one and a half lakh rupees. This has made it convenient for Rajanna devotees and travelers.
