The residents of Murad ki Dhani of Longewala village near the Indo-Pak border of Jaisalmer have been facing shortage of drinking water for a long time. Actually, water is supplied to Murad ki Dhani from the tube well located in Longewala. But the water supply stopped due to the burning of the motor installed there. Appealed to the department officials several times to start drinking water supply by installing a new motor in the tube well, but the situation is still the same. For the last 20 days, villagers and animals are suffering without water. Villagers are forced to buy tankers at expensive prices.

Hanif Khan, a resident of Murad ki Dhani, said that the drinking water supply in Murad ki Dhani has been completely stopped for the last 20 days. In such a situation, people as well as livestock are forced to stumble from door to door in this scorching heat. Dhani residents said that they had informed the water supply department officials and employees several times about the deepening drinking water crisis in Dhani, but the problem remains the same. Dhani residents accused the public representatives, district administration and water supply department of negligence and said that arrangements for drinking water have been made at many places in this area by approving tube wells and hand pumps. But Murad ki Dhani of hundred houses has been deprived of this. The villagers have demanded smooth supply of drinking water to Murad ki Dhani.
