Violence flares up again in Manipur, a youth shot dead
Guwahati: Fresh violence was reported from Manipur on Wednesday, with a 29-year-old man being shot dead by members of a different community. Meanwhile, two others were injured in a separate incident in Bishnupur district.
Due to these incidents, the authorities in Bishnupur, Imphal East and Imphal West districts have canceled the curfew relaxation. Earlier, the curfew was relaxed from 5 am to 4 pm.

According to media reports, armed youths raided several villages of Moirang on Wednesday.
When residents of a relief camp came out to investigate, one Toijam Chandramani, 29, was shot at and seriously injured.
Though he was taken to the hospital, the 29-year-old did not survive, media reported.
Meanwhile, the death raised tension in the area and additional paramilitary and police personnel were deployed to maintain control.
According to the information, three houses were set on fire late on Tuesday night in Faubakchao of Bishnupur. In retaliation, youths from other communities set four houses on fire.
