Voting time for the country’s elections has ended, the counting of votes continues

Lahore: The voting period for the by-election for 5 vacant seats in the National Assembly and 16 vacant seats in the Provincial Assembly in the country has ended and now the counting of votes continues.

Polling started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm without a break. Mobile and internet services were switched off in the election areas.

Arguments and clashes also took place between political activists at several polling stations including Government Primary School Nizampura and Polling Station No. 33 Kotnaju.

The polling process was halted due to firing in some areas, but polling was resumed after the situation was brought under control by the police force.

PP 54 In Kotnajo village of Narowal, a fight broke out between PML-N and PTI workers in which a PML-N worker was killed. The opponents hit the head with a stick during the dispute causing serious injuries to the elderly. 60-year-old Muhammad Yusuf was taken to the hospital but he died before reaching the hospital.
