People who want to enjoy the beauty of Taj Mahal at night time can now book night view tickets online. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Monday made online ticker booking facility available on its website- asi.paygov.org.in. This will be very beneficial for all the tourists from home and abroad. Taj Mahal is world famous and tourists from all over the world come to see it. This grand monument was built by Shah Jahan in 1653. Confirming the development, Superintending Archaeologist, Agra Circle Rajkumar Patel said, “The offline system of booking tickets for night viewing will be discontinued soon.
A new system has been implemented to issue tickets without any hassle especially to those coming from different parts of the country and abroad. Booking tickets for day visits will be available online and offline as before.
Till now, tickets for Taj Mahal night viewing had to be purchased from the counter at the ASI office a day before the visit.
However, the Supreme Court in November last year modified its 2004 order and in 2019 allowed online booking of tickets for night viewing of this 17th-century mausoleum after an interim petition was filed by Agra Development Foundation (ADF), a civic forum.
The Taj Mahal is considered one of the most romantic monuments in the world. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan after the death of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this white marble mausoleum is considered a monument of eternal love and is very famous all over the world.
Night viewing of Taj Mahal is available on five days in a month i.e. full moon night and two nights before full moon and two nights after full moon. Night viewing of the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday and during the month of Ramadan.

According to Senior Advocate and ADF Secretary KC Jain “The new online system for night viewing of Taj Mahal will attract more tourists and this project will increase the revenue of ASI.
This will enable visitors wishing to visit the Taj Mahal to book tickets for advanced bookings without overstaying in Agra and without standing in long queues at the ASI counter.
Night viewing of the Taj Mahal is available five days a month, i.e. full moon night and two nights before and two nights after the full moon night.

As per the predetermined security protocol, the facility will be available only for 400 people divided into eight batches of 50 tourists from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Each slot is of 30 minutes duration. Tourists should arrive at Shilpagram half an hour before the viewing time mentioned in their ticket for security check. You take your family now to see Taj Mahal and spend your quality time with them.
