West Bengal: Minor killed after rape, BJP accuses police of destroying evidence

– Locals protested by keeping dead bodies on the road demanding immediate arrest of the culprits

A minor was allegedly raped and murdered in Kaliaganj in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal. Due to which people got upset with the local system and started protest. In this same demonstration, the police did something which BJP leader Amit Malviya has targeted by tweeting.
He shared a video in which the police can be seen lathi-charging the protestors for the crime against the student and forcibly dragging the body of the student on the road. Amit Malviya said in a tweet about this, that the body that the West Bengal Police is insensibly dragging in this video is the body of a minor rape and murder victim of the Rajbanshi community in Kaliaganj, North Dinajpur.
Such haste is often seen when the purpose is to destroy, undermine or cover up evidence of a crime, he said.
Regarding the incident, the local administration said that the girl was missing since Thursday evening and later local people saw her body floating in the canal yesterday morning. The girl left home for tuition on Thursday evening. Despite a night-long search by his family and locals, he was not found.
What is the whole matter
Demanding immediate arrest of the culprits, local people staged a protest by keeping the bodies on the road. Clashes broke out between the locals and the police when they arrived to take possession of the girl’s body. Due to which the local people created a barrier in the traffic on the road. He burnt tires and allegedly pelted stones at the police. Police had to lathi charge and used tear gas shells to control the crowd.
