West Bengal STF arrests arms dealer from Dumdum Cantonment station with arms

Arnav Aich: Arms importation in the state is not new. Especially before and after any election this import speed increases. The police are always vigilant. And a notorious arms dealer (Arms Dealer) was caught in their strict search. The arrest was made by the STF from Dumdum Cantonment Station on Monday night. Two seven mm pistols, two one-shotters were recovered from him. A case has been registered in the GRP and the investigation has started.
According to STF (STF) sources, the name of the arrested arms dealer is Tapan Saha. Fifty-five-year-old Tapan’s home is in Mansbari area of Habra, North 24 Parganas. On Monday night, he boarded the Habra-bound train with weapons. STF received information from secret sources and searched the train and recovered weapons. The investigators knew about the arrested Tapan Saha. He is a notorious arms dealer. Was he going to Habara to store the weapons in his house or was it smuggled to someone there? STF is looking for answers to these questions.
