Former Team India cricketer Anil Kumble has expressed concern about the ongoing protest of wrestlers against the President of the Wrestling Federation of India Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Anil Kumble, who tweeted about this, was saddened to hear about the incident that happened to our wrestlers on May 28. Anything can be resolved through proper negotiation. I hope for a solution as soon as possible,” he said.
On May 28, the wrestlers who were protesting in front of the new Parliament House were inhumanely arrested by the police. There was widespread outrage about this from across the country. Now Anil Kumble has mentioned the same incident on Twitter and expressed concern.
Before Anil Kumble, the former captain of Team India Kapil Dev mentioned the struggle of wrestlers, will they ever get justice? He asked.

However, the wrestlers said that they would throw the medals they had won into the river Ganga as they did not get proper assurance of strict action. He also warned that he would go on a hunger strike at India Gate.
