Senior leader Yashwant Sinha, who is contesting from the opposition in the presidential race, filed his nomination on Monday.

The presidential election will take place on July 18. Draupadi, who hails from the tribe, is currently contesting under the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. He filed his nomination on the 24th in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and leaders of the coalition parties.

In this situation, Yashwant Sinha, who has been fielded on behalf of the opposition parties including the Congress, Trinamool Congress, DMK and the Left, has filed his candidature with the BJP. Filed with Modi on Monday.

Yashwant Sinha’s name has been proposed by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, state assembly opposition leader Mallikarjuna Kokhe, Trinamool Congress senior leader Sudeep Bandopathy, Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK leader MK Stalin, and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

After filing the nomination, Yashwant Sinha and other opposition leaders paid homage to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and the statue of P.O. Ambedkar in Parliament.

No democracy: Opposition leaders told reporters that Yashwant Sinha was the best candidate. They also said that this was a competition between two different policies. Saying that there is no democracy in the current BJP, Yashwant Sinha said he would seek the support of old friends in the BJP for support.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi support: Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed support for Yashwant Sinha. Azaduddin Owaisi, a senior leader and MP of the All India Majlis Party, has announced his support for Yashwant Sinha.

Jokand Mukti Mocha not participating: When Yashwant Sinha was announced as the common candidate of the Opposition, Jokand Mukti Mocha, who had supported him, did not participate in the nomination. The party, which has the support of the tribals, is likely to support BJP candidate Draupadi Mumu, who is a tribal.
