Yavatmal: A child died on the spot after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the road
Yavatmal; Leading News Service: A 10-year-old boy was killed while crossing the road after being hit by a four-wheeler. The incident took place at Nimbi in Pusad taluka around 10 am on Wednesday.
The deceased toddler has been identified as Okar Kisan Londge (age 10). Omkar Landge was hit hard by a four wheeler vehicle coming towards Pusad via Washim at Nimbi under Vasantnagar police station while crossing the road. The impact was so strong that Omkar’s head was hit hard. The right leg was broken below the knee when the vehicle ran over it. The villagers rushed and took Omkar to a private hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Omkar’s body was brought to the Government Upazila Hospital for autopsy. Omkar was an only child. His father died two to three months ago. Mother is in Pune for work. Omkar lived with his grandmother in Nimbi since his childhood. The police have filed a panchnama and deposited the vehicle involved in the incident at Vasantnagar police station. This incident has spread mourning in Nimbi village.
