The central government has made changes in the provisions of two excellent schemes being implemented for the people of the country, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana:
The central government has increased the annual premium amount of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana from Rs.330 to Rs.436. In this case you will pay Rs.330 every year to get life insurance cover. 436 premium to be paid. Enrollees in this scheme are offered life insurance coverage up to Rs.2 lakh on nominal premium payment. That means if the policy holder dies due to any accident, their family will get Rs.2 lakh. A bank account is a must for taking this policy.
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana:
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is an ambitious scheme implemented by the government to safeguard the future of girl child. In the year 2022, the government has made many major changes in this scheme. Interest rate will be available on the money deposited in the account if you do not reactivate your account as per the new terms. Earlier there was an option to open accounts of two daughters under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. Also exemption under Section 80C of Income Tax was available. But the third daughter did not get this benefit. On the other hand, as per the new rules, if you have twin daughters after the birth of a daughter in your household, you can also get the account of both daughters in this scheme.
