Youth arrested for marrying minor girl in Nadia

Ramani Biswas, Tehatt: 30-year-old young man secretly married an 11-year-old minor despite the ban of the police administration! The result is imprisonment. The incident took place at Sundalpur Bazarpara of Hogleberia police station in Nadia. It is reported that the police and the block administration rescued the minor and sent her home.
According to administration sources, the minor is a resident of Baliadanga village of Sagarpara police station in Murshidabad district. The family was secretly trying to get the 11-year-old minor married, Khabar police administration warned the family. The family also gives a bond saying that they will not be forced to marry. Despite all this, it is alleged that minors are secretly married. After investigating, the police found out that Mohitosh Pramanik of Sundalpur, Hogleberia got married to the minor in a temple in Sagarpara last Thursday. The young man is 30 years old. That’s when the police of Sagarpara police station in Murshidabad informed the police of Hogleberia police station in Nadia.

After receiving this news, Hogleberia police and Karimpur 1 block administration officials rescued the minor from the house of Mohitosh Pramanik in Sundalpur. Mahitosh Pramanik has been arrested by the police for secretly marrying an 11-year-old girl. The judge ordered 14 days of jail custody when the police produced the youth in the Tehatta Sub-Divisional Court on Saturday.
Karimpur 1 block BDO Anupam Chakraborty said that after receiving information about the incident, an official of the block and the police were sent and the girl was rescued. The police took legal action against the accused for the crime of marrying a minor, and the minor girl was sent home.
