Governor Punjab, Balighur Rehman, has responded to allegations surrounding the resignation of the Principal of Aitchison College, stating that the principal had submitted his resignation twice and a new principal has already been appointed by the board. He clarified that the resignation has not been accepted due to the principal’s unavailability.

In an interview with private TV channel Geo News, Governor Balighur Rehman disclosed that the appointment process for the new principal of Aitchison College was finalized the previous month, and the resignation of the current principal will only take effect in August 2024.

Addressing concerns regarding fee waivers for the children of Ahad Cheema, Governor Punjab explained that Ahad Cheema was posted in Islamabad for a year due to work commitments, which resulted in his children being unable to attend Aitchison College during that time. Consequently, the college waived fees for the classes missed by Cheema’s children.
